It’s finally springtime, the Tradewinds are blowing nicely here on island signaling the homestretch toward Antigua Sailing Week. The 56th Edition of this well loved regatta takes place in one month from April 26 – May 2, there’s still ample time to organize your team to enter the separately scored 52 mile Peters & May Round Antigua Race and the 5-day series of Antigua Sailing Week with now includes a Cruise Rally. We already have 50 entries and we are expecting a jump in numbers now that spring has sprung.

ARE YOU REGATTA READY?
To be regatta ready, there are a few administrative tasks you may want to attend to sooner than later. First, double check your entry on Yachtscoringg, to confirm that information listed is correct and that you have completed the following:
- Crew Waivers – all boats must have crew waivers completed for all crew before registration is complete. You will need each crew members email address in order to complete this task.
- Crew Outfits – Don’t forget to pack your matching crew shirts for afternoons at the AYC. Spot prizes for best outfits will be awarded. The deadline for ourcustom order servicefor team shirts has been extended to March 30th. Email [email protected] for a quote.
• Event Specific Questions – please don’t overlook this section. This is where you confirm your interest in optional briefings, adding a youth crew, having a media professional on board and of course getting a quote to return ship your vessel with Peters & May.
• Boat Rating – Each participating boat must obtain a CSA rating, or a Simplified Rating (for Club Class). Be sure to apply for your measurement a couple of weeks before the event starts. You can start here: https://caribbean-sailing.com/apply-for-measurement/
• Dockage or Moorings – There are ample locations to secure dockspace or moorings in the area. Listed in order of proximity to the Regatta Village are Antigua Yacht Club Marina, Falmouth Harbour Marina, Nelson’s Dockyard, Antigua Slipway & Catamaran Marina. • Provisioning and B / L / D – Check out our first timers guide for a list of supermarkets for your onboard pantry and sundries. For breakfast, packed lunches or dinners – make your large table booking with one of our recommended Restaurant Partners.

ANTIGUA CRUISING RALLY – Sail in Good Company
The recently announced destinations on the itinerary of the Antigua Cruising Rally have just been released. This inaugural event will take a like-minded sailors on a pre-planned route featuring breathtaking anchorages, pristine beaches and lively social gatherings at some of the nicest venues around the island. Whether you’re sailing solo, as a couple, or with a full crew, you’ll feel part of a welcoming community.
Starting on April 27 and ending on May 2, venues to look forward to are, Deep Bay on the West Coast, The Hut at Little Jumby in the North, Catherine’s Cafe in the South and Breeze in the East. The Antigua Cruising Rally welcomes both private vessels and chartered boats, classics and cruisers. Whether you’re new to Antigua Sailing Week or a seasoned participant seeking a relaxed pace, this rally offers an ideal opportunity to cruise in company and immerse yourself in the island’s culture.
