New ASW 2016 Gill Merchandise Range Goes on Sale at the RS Elite Summer Series Final

Tomorrow is a big one for Antigua Sailing Week as the brand new Gill Merchandise Range for 2016 hits down in time for the RS Elite Summer Series Final at Nonsuch Bay Resort.

Gill has renewed its partnership with Antigua Sailing Week for the next two events, ensuring its slot as the official merchandise sponsor not just for 2016, but for the 50th edition which will take place in 2017.

President of Gill North America David Pritchard says, “We are delighted to continue our support of Antigua Sailing Week. It’s a growing event and for 2016 I am personally looking forward to joining a team from my home club (LLSC in Atlanta) and racing in ac charter class. For the Caribbean’s warm water, warm air, wet conditions Gill’s quick-dry fabrics with UV protection are fabulous – very breathable fabrics that manage the high air temperatures well. We look forward to another great year of racing and super Antiguan hospitality.”

The gear will go on sale for the first time tomorrow at the RS Elite Summer Series Final taking place at Nonsuch Bay. Hot skippers including Karl James, Franklyn Braithwaite, Bernie Evan-Wong, Tanner Jones with Patmore Watson and representing youth sailors, Rhone Kirby, will be competing for the two much-coveted prizes of an Antiguan entry in the Nonsuch Bay RS Elite Challenge which will take place on Lay Day during Antigua Sailing Week 2016.

Racing starts on Sunday at 10 am and spectators can enjoy the tight courses and competition from the restaurant or the dock below while enjoying drinks and/or an all-inclusive gourmet barbecue lunch which will be served from midday and run through the afternoon. Reservations recommended for large groups.

Gill Merchandise will be available to purchase online from next week including custom crew orders at www.sailingweek.com.
