Curfew hours commence at 8:00 pm on 29 January 2021, until 5:00 am daily thereafter, or until Friday, February 19, when it may return to a later hour each night.

All bars are closed commencing Friday night, January 29, 2021, at 8:00 pm, until Friday, February 19, when they may be allowed to re-open.

Restaurants may serve take-out only commencing Friday night, up until 8:00 pm, on January 29, 2021, and close each night thereafter at 8:00 pm, until February 19, 2021. Full information here.

14th October 2020 –  The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has updated its travel advisory effective immediately to ensure the continued safety of travelers and residents. The V.C. Bird International Airport is open for international and regional air traffic. The Antigua Port Authority is open to Cargo Vessels, Pleasure Craft and Ferry Services which are required to follow all protocols issued by Port Health. Please read the full Advisory.

2nd July 2020 – The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has updated its travel advisory effective 72 hours from date of issue to ensure the continued safety of travelers and residents. The V.C. Bird International Airport is opened for international and regional air traffic. The Antigua Port Authority is opened to Cargo Vessels, Pleasure Craft and Ferry Services which are required to follow all protocols issued by Port Health. Click on the link for more details.

23rd April, 2020 -To further control of the spread of the dangerous infectious disease COVID-19, the Government of Antigua and Barbuda has extended the 24 hr curfew from 12:01a.m. on Thursday 23rd April 2020 until 12:00 midnight on Thursday 14th May, 2020. 16th April, 2020 – Travel Advisory – Restrictions on inbound flights continue until April 23, 200 in the first instance. Read the full advisory here.

16th April, 2020 – Maritime Advisory – Restriction on inbound pleasure craft continues until April 23, 2020 in the first instance. Read the full advisory here.

15th Aprll, 2020 – Extended 24 hr curfew with some additional businesses being allowed to open and an option to exercise within the 7am – 12 pm window. Please note because more businesses will be open this is not an invitation to spend more time away from your property (boat or home). Social distancing is still critical along with good hygiene.  Read the full update.

9th April, 2020 – Extended 24hr curfew and an update on essential services. Official guidelines here.

8th April, 2020 – The government is extending the 24-hour curfew for at least another week as it continues measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19. The Public Health Act (Dangerous Infectious Disease) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2020 indicate the extension will last from 6am on Thursday, April 9 to 6am on Thursday, April 16. 6th April, 2020 – NODs advisory on proper use of mask -The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) is strongly recommending the proper use of masks in the fight against the spread of the Coronavirus. Information available here.

6th April, 2020 – The government of Antigua and Barbuda has strongly recommended that all persons wear masks or cover their noses when venturing outdoors. Information available here.

2nd April, 2020 – Information from the Coast Guard of Antigua & Barbuda Lt Cdr Skerritt. Vessels are allowed to change their anchorage or berths during the curfew on a case by case basis.
Each vessel that has to move will be required to provide the Coast Guards with the following information:

• Present Location
• Next Berth or Anchorage
• Transit Route
• Time expected to get underway & ETA at destination
The vessels will only be allowed to move upon receiving the Coast Guard’s authorization. A request can be made through the VHF by hailing the Coast Guard on Ch 16, or telephone numbers (268) 462-3206/2841/2843 and (268) 462-067. Get the pdf version here.

31st March, 2020 – 24hrs Lock-down effective Thursday 2nd April at 12.01 am to Thursday 9th April, 2020. Please see full list of essential services and businesses which will operate only from 7 am – 12pm daily. Please note restaurants and food vendors will now all be closed.

29th March, 2020 at 7.51 pm – Maritime advisory –  no entry to yachts in Antigua and Barbuda for a period of 14 days and cruising permits only legal for Antigua. 27th March, 2020 at 6:00 pm – Announcement of curfew – 8pm – 6am daily from Saturday 28th March in place – see full list of essential and non-essential businesses on the attached pdf.

26th March, 2020 at 11.59 pm – Travel advisory from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Immigration and Trade. ALL inbound commercial traffic from
North America and Europe shall be denied entry for a period of fourteen (14) days: Information available here.
