This week’s edition of World Sailing News is a special edition that we’ve titled #YouthSailing News and we’ll be bringing you the ins and outs of the Youth Sailing World Championships that is set to be held in Langkawi, Malaysia from 27 December to 3 January.
Malaysia’s National Sailing Centre will be awash with more than 430 sailors from 80 nations who have registered to sail across nine fleets in just a matter of days. 2015 is a record breaker as well with more sailors and countries than ever before. The previous record of 67, set last year in Tavira, Portugal, has been easily surpassed with new and returning nations making the trip.
But who has exactly entered? Well there’s only place to go for that, the entry list which you can find by clicking here.
Sailors will start to arrive at the Langkawi venue on 27 December where they will receive the supplied equipment from Ovington, UpMarine, Nautivela, Sirena Voile, Neil Pryde and Laser Performance/Maclaren. From there it’s the opening ceremony on 28th before racing gets going on the 29th.
When racing does get going, you’re going to want to follow it so the one stop shop is the live blog that will follow everything as it happens – click here for the blog.
