Job Vacancy: Press & Marketing Co-ordinator

Due to a restructure, a new role of Marketing Co-ordinator has been created at Antigua Sailing Week. The role is on a contract basis initially and will run up to May 2017.

Main responsibilities to include:

  • Co-ordinating and briefing artwork requirements between graphic designer and ASW team
  • Advertising Management
  • Co-ordination of tradeshow and regatta marketing
  • Co-ordinating with Sponsors on branding requirements both prior to and during event
  • Managing updates of the ASW website and social media platform strategy and updates
  • Press co-ordination with regional and local press and other stakeholders
  • Management of invitation lists for all events
  • In-house and external communications
  • ASW TV – distribution in event
  • Newsletter production

Skills Required

  • Needs a working knowledge of WordPress, Mailchimp, Social media platforms.
  • Excellent written English
  • Existing relationships with Antigua Media, Regional an advantage
  • Experience of working in event marketing

Experience in all areas listed is ideal but consideration can be made to people with some, not all, areas of experience. The role has potential for huge growth and could appeal to someone wishing to further develop their career and responsibility in marketing and PR or equally as a contract for someone with an existing business.

A knowledge of sailing would be an advantage but not essential, but a willingness to listen and learn is critical.
